Mark Percy Mark Percy

Senior Fellow
info@PATHNORTH.com

Mark grew up in a family devoted to public and community service, and for over two decades has integrated a distinguished business career with leadership in the non-profit sector.

He is a Chartered Advisor in PhilanthropyÒ (CAPÒ), and currently serves as Executive Director of the Kay Family Foundation (KFF) in Irvine, CA. KFF is one of the top 20 private foundations in Orange County and has been a pioneer in the use of L3Cs (low-profit limited liability companies) on behalf of philanthropic causes in California.

Mark also manages his own independent, conflict-free philanthropic advisory firm, Next Generation Strategies, LLC. NGS works closely with select wealth holders to clarify giving decisions in light of their goals. The NGS process helps wealth holders achieve greater impact, meaning and satisfaction with their giving, as well as engage the family in the giving process if they so desire. NGS does not give financial or legal advice, but if desired by the wealth holder they welcome the chance to work with other advisors to include effective giving in an overall financial and estate plan.

Mark received a BA from Stanford University and a MBA from Yale University. Between 1986 and 2008, he held executive positions primarily in privately held firms - including president of a family business. He also spent 4 years guiding the government business development initiatives of a Fortune 500 corporation. His international business career and family background gave him broad exposure to global issues plus a deep network of strategic contacts.

He chairs the Education Committee for Advisors in Philanthropy/OC Chapter, and is a Senior Fellow with PathNorth (www.pathnorth.com), occasionally facilitating discussions designed to broaden the definition of success among leading business executives. Mark also serves on the National Leadership Council for Communities In Schools, and is a board member of ChildSHARE, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding safe homes for neglected and abused children in the foster care system.

Mark and his wife Leslee moved in 2005 from Washington DC to California. Their two adult children, Taylor and Gavin, also live in Southern California.
